GoMA AND THE COMMON GUILD COMPLETES £1 MILLION COLLECTING PROJECT

Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art and The Common Guild have made the final purchases after being awarded up to £1 million through Art Fund International, the Art Fund’s scheme which has assisted five museums to grow their collections of International Contemporary art over the past five years. This is post that I wrote last year for the playable spaces blog to document the work I had been doing with Rachel Mimiec in her role as Associate Artist (May 2011 – May 2013). We are currently working together on her upcoming exhibition PLOUGH, which opens in Gallery 3 on 21 February and we are in the process of firming up the programme that goes with that alongside some of the marketing materials.
