Curator Talk: Social History Objects in Domestic Bliss

For this month’s Curator Talk we return to the exhibition Domestic Bliss to focus on the social history objects from the collection. They are grouped together in the corner cabinet in the gallery and shine a light of some of the narratives that inform the history of the GoMA building and the city of Glasgow. They also inspired the two commissions for the Glasgow Museums’ collection from artists Mandy McIntosh and Camara Taylor.
For a longer read on these objects please go to the latest Collection Musings post. Or if you are interested in the exhibition Domestic Bliss, there is an introduction to the show in an earlier At Home: Talk.
