We are back!

After such an extended break we’re thrilled to be re-opening GoMA to visitors on Monday 5th October 2020.

We’ve been so fortunate to hear from so many people who have missed visiting us in person and we’ve missed seeing you in the building too!  All the galleries will re-open, subject to the latest government guidance, but unfortunately at this time we do not have a date for re-opening the Library, café and shop.

During lockdown we have been ensuring that all the correct safety measures, signage and procedures are in place to make any visit reassuringly safe and enjoyable.  We are undertaking a comprehensive training programme for staff and new, rigorous cleaning schedules will be in place.

By necessity we will operate differently and appear physically different to visitors from what it was prior to lockdown.  Visitors will need to book a FREE ticket that will allocate a specific time slot for entry. This method will allow us to manage capacities to maintain safe social distancing and fulfil our Track & Trace obligations.  Capacity of the building, however, will be much reduced.

For information on opening hours, how to enter the museum, what’s open, face coverings and more see our Museum FAQs.

Fortunately, although our programme has changed, we have been able to change some of our displays and you will be able see recent acquisitions from Rabiya Choudhry, Walter Price, Camara Taylor and Empire Café.

We will continue to offer as much of our programme as possible online at the ‘At Home’ section of this blog:  https://galleryofmodernart.blog/at-home/

Remember to book a ticket and come back and visit us – we’re really looking forward to seeing you!
