Artist Talk – Sarah Forrest

In this short interview, recorded by women at Glasgow Women’s Library as part of a project with GoMA, artist Sarah Forrest presents “that now” . This work is now in Glasgow Museums’ collection and was originally shown as part of Ripples on the Pond: Moving Image Programme, in 2015. Sarah Forrest made “that now” following a six week stay on Orkney for the inaugural Margaret Tait Residency, which she won in 2012.
Ripples on the Pond was an exhibition of works from Glasgow Museums’ collection. It included recent acquisitions from Glasgow Women’s Library’s 21 Revolutions series, relating them to other works in the collection and sparking questions about gender, themes and media choice in relation to women’s practice and visibility.
