Included in GENERATION, a programme of exhibitions across Scotland in 2014, the work by Nathan Coley expressed curiosity about how we relate to public spaces and architecture.

The exhibition presented cardboard scale models which reconstruct all 286 places of worship within Edinburgh (as listed in the Yellow Pages). The aim was to explore the way in which religious building are characterised by theological ideologies. Particularly, the exhibition showed how the artwork can be used to reveal conflictual issues in the system of belief.
