Sue Tompkins: Come To Ozark

For Glasgow International 2014 , Tompkins created a new suite of fabric pieces, paintings and works on newsprint for the GoMA.

Tompkins re-functioned material obtained from the everyday life, by distorting meaning through their arrangement and delivery. She combined physical structure and form, transferring aspects of performance into two-dimensional works. The title of the exhibitions recalls a fictional place, exploring ideas of arrival and departure, through the typewritten text and performance in this series of new works.
