Glasgow 16/25

Glasgow 16/25
Date: 6 April – 17 June 2001
Space: Temporary Exhibition (Gallery 3)

Exhibition of work by Grennan and Serandio with the collaboration of 16-25 year-old participants who were involved in a residency funded by the city’s contemporary art fund and supported by Scotland’s Year of the Artist.

Renowned international duo, Grennan and Sperandio transform the stories of friends, relatives and strangers into collections of oddly familiar cartoon narratives in this entertaining retrospective of their work. The highlight of the exhibition will be the launch of a new digital video animation, commissioned specially for GoMA, which charts the personal experiences of 16-25 year olds who live, work and socialise within a mile radius of the Gallery. This project was part of Scotland’s Year of the Artist Residency Programme.

Artists: Simon Grennan and Christopher Sperandio.
