Human/Nature: Landscape photography from GoMA collection

Human/Nature: Landscape photography from GoMA collection
Date: 9 February – 30 April 2006
Space: Gallery 3

Photographs from Glasgow Museum’s collection exploring man’s relationship with nature.

The works in the exhibition show how different artists, photographers and in one case, a scientist, use the medium of photography to investigate or comment on humans’ relationship with nature. For example, Andy Goldsworthy uses photography to record places that will never appear the same again, while Sebastião Salgado documents harsh and unforgiving environments that humans have to struggle to work and survive on.
