Infinitude

Infinitude
Date: 29 June 2000 – 1 January 2001
Space: Fire Gallery (now Library @ GoMA)

Exhibition of works by Scottish artists -among others- exploring the possibilities of new technologies and marking a trend in new media (video projection, video installation, lightworks, digital painting, photographic experiments, interactive and computer-based artwork).

This exhibition marks a curatorial and artistic shift at GoMA since it includes, for the first time, a wide range of new media works, installations and video art. According to Susanna Beaumont, Infinitude ‘is a brave attempt to blow winds of change through GoMA’s corridors’. The curator of the exhibition, Malcolm Dickson, selected works which explored time and experience through the mediation of new technologies and were manifested in various aesthetic forms.

Artists: Daniel Reeves, Dalziel + Scullion, Pernille Spence, John Scott, Stephen Hurrel, Stephen Healy, Steve Hollingsworth, Beverley Hood
