Raiders of the Lost Art: Connecting objects, place and people

Raiders of the Lost Art: Connecting objects, place and people
Date: 6 November 2008 – 12 January 2009
Space: Balcony galleries

A showcase for some of the fantastic community-based projects the Open Museum has been involved with over the last two years.

Raiders of the Lost Art tells how the Open Museum, the outreach arm of Glasgow Museums, supports communities to tell their own history, on their own terms, and encourages people to take ownership of the creative and public spaces in their communities. The team has also been able to explore ways that museum collections can improve literacy and support people’s well-being and mental health.
