Dave Sherry worked with Transforming Arts to explore what gender is and how it is defined.

The artist David Sherry and the Scottish Transgender Alliance Project worked with a number of trans people to produce works looking at gender identity and their experiences. The video projection projection showed the difficulty to describe the nature of ‘transgender’, often related to a disparity between our gender and our sex and not merely to the need of a sex change. Moreover, it questions the world we live in as an expression of binary systems: Gary/Straight, Male/Female and so on.
