Like all museums and galleries across the world our plans for 2021 are ever changing and responding to the extraordinary times that we are currently living in. But one thing that hasn’t changed is that GoMA will be 25 this year and that marks a moment in the history of the organisation that we felt we couldn’t miss, even though we may not be able to programme exhibitions and events or gather to celebrate in the way that we would have loved to for this year.

We are the GoMA Youth Group for 2020-2021! We’re a cool gang of 16-25-year-olds with a variety of different skills and experiences in art, all passionate about making, curating, and talking on the arts (we like it a lot).

‘The Mice & the Baker’ is the current exhibition in GoMA’s CommonSpace. It features a short animated film, result of the Creative Scotland-funded education project ‘Little Animation Studio’. Over a period of 9 months, this used adapted digital technologies to support primary school children from Harmeny School (Balerno) to create their first fully animated short film.
