The GoMA Saturday Art club has been running now for 9 years. Look out for something special for the 10 year birthday party.

Set up in September 2003 it started off fairly quietly, but now has between 40 – 70 children with their parents, grandparents, guardians and friends coming along every week. Not always the same children but there are some who rarely miss a session.

It’s something different each week and is run in-house by our fabulous Learning Assistants and dedicated team of volunteers. Remarkably they come up with new activities pretty much every week relating to works on show, exhibitions and techniques used by artists we work with.

This week it was marbling and the photos capture some of the fantastic works before they were whisked off by their creators and taken home. There are more photos over on flickr of this workshop and if you click here , there are some photos from older Saturday Art Club sessions as well.
